I use my nanokontrol. I mapped it to trigger the efx,..if u have one it's the easiest way to do it
Joshua Carl 11:49 PM - 11 April, 2011
def.
I mapped my x-1 to fire 6 of my fav transitions.
and the knobs to select & change effect parameters.

if you havent messed with the transition parameter knob on the crossfader in real time while your mixingf....
you are missing out....especially on the strobe & 3x3 grid transition

Its the love of my life 17"mbp i-7. The m.e. screens are as large as they can get.

one question, what adapters do you use? do you have like a universal or which ones you use? i have a mid 2008 pre unibody and i just slap lttle connectors i bought @ the apple store and have one for VGA, one for HDMI one for rca and s cable together but i heard that with the new computers you need to convert from digital to analog or something like that, please explain... :)

Just use the vga adapter to a converter which handles whichever connection I may need. Hate to say it but i prefer radio shacks.

Consider this thread jacked
ta2423 7:42 PM - 13 April, 2011
I wish m.e. made the text window horizontal instead of vertical. Would be able to line it up neatly with the transition window but I guess it doesnt matter now with 6.1. Whenever you control ssl the text window doesnt stay pinned above the ssl screen. lol "unjacked"

I know a guy who played in abs mode and would stand on it. I finally got him to ps3 in rel mode and he loves it. Took it a while before he switched

When gigging I drop the right deck into internal due to 500 pounders shaking the whole table when they pass by.
Joshua Carl 1:13 AM - 14 April, 2011
One of the spots I do, we have t redbull booth, up on 16 inch lifts.
on the other end of the floor that it sits on, is the dancefloor.

I had to map my x1 scene 2 to Panic internal mode.
everytime it got rocking shit was bouncing all over the place.

Does yours drift when scratching. When ever I am scratching the point where I start scratcthing seems to drift a few millimeters back, so i cant never really get a clean or quick scratch. I hope I am explaing it right.
mantronics 9:51 PM - 27 April, 2011
yea...a lil
mantronics 10:28 PM - 27 April, 2011
oh forgot to mention it helps to put a finger on the side of the platter, the lil finger dimples,it helps me control better with them
DJCrank 11:34 PM - 27 April, 2011
I don't think in the 7 years I had these cdjs I have ever tried that, I only touch the sides to speed up and slow down. Scratching I just apply pressure...lol. hey where are the screen shots.

My screenshot changed up a bit since the 68 is now in play. Its getting rediculous with 68, Bridge and M.E. Post a new pic later. Comfortable zone is shot to hell with all the new crap. Beginner for x1 is giving me hell, But Im there with way to many possibilities. I give it 3 months to get back into comfort zone as the 68 sits in the house setup and the 57 gets gig play.

Looking at a 68 right now. What is making you uncomfortable? I ask because I'm selling one of my 57 to upgrade to this and I can't afford to have it sit in the house?

i don't understand how you guys are able to have mix emergency and the scratch live screens up at the same time. I know some may see this as a stupid questions but ive always been told, if you don't know something, you have to ask.

Here's how... Mix Emergency is a plug in... Not a program... It works just like VSL.. When u open SSL the VSL isn't there until you hit the Video...So here's how it done...1st open SSL, then you open Mix emergency.. the only thing ME is pretty much is the 3 screens (Just like VSL) SSL needs to be open to load the video's. with the new update 1.6.1 you can split the 3 screens and placed them on ur monitor anywhere u want them and the best place that suits you. How that?

Oh one more thing... you need to have to make sure the pin is highlighted to keep it over SSL..Hope this clear things up for you

Can rock the knobs off on a 57 blindfolded. The 68 is taking some getting use too. Im keeping it in my home setup until I can run it blindfolded. Personally love the 68 just havent been able to put time in with it. I gigged one gig with it and was making small mishaps here and there.
