Clubs that serve alcohol usually go from 9p-2a because you can't serve Liquor after 2am.

Clubs "can" stay open later but ALL alcoholic drinks have to be off the tables and out of hand by 2am. If drinks are found and the Police roll in, heavy fines or loss of Liquor license can happen so most start last call between 1:30-1:45 and roll them out the door by 2am.

Peak time is usually around midnight and if a club is jumping, cover charge is still happening up until 1:15 and usually no entry after 1:30 so they can be out by 2am.

10PM-2:30, sometimes 3AM or 4AM depending on if the club or promoter has a city after hours permit. However the "fun-liquid" aka ALCOHOL must be gone by 2AM. Rule of thumb in the club is by 2AM if you got a drink in hand, full or not, you better chug it down or throw it away!

ransom touched a little of it but in reality, the clubs here in Chicago stay open till 5AM!! and we serve drinks till 5AM!!!

weekdays its 9p or 10p till 4a and weekends are the same but till 5A.

as for peak hours, its about 1230a till 3a. everyone usually rolls in starting at 12a.

Top40 and Hiphop clubs usually peak around 11:30 regardless of the day of the week. But rarely hit those...

House clubs vary by event and night. for example on an all access night, at the Guvernment, on a long weekend you'll see it packed from 12am to 4am. I've been there at times when the sun rises and people are still dancing away until 7, maybe 8am... One time a buddy didn't leave the club until 10am. Yeesh.

On sundays during the summer, the patio at The Docks is packed with sketched out clubbers from 4 to 8pm.

And this ain't even Canada's "party city"...

Much more accurate. Anyone in Chicago knows the 5am spots on the weekends.

I was hoping that was still the case. Back in my younger days we used to drive from Detroit to Chicago just to go clubbing (about 3 hours each way). We'd get there around 9 or 10pm check out the mix shows on the radio and club hop from about midnight until 5am and drive back to Detroit.
