I just tried it and it aint workin....Scratch Live even seems to load slower with the Core Driver installed...
The lights didnt go off like that in the Video...It stayed on, both of em (blue and yellow)
Does it have anything to do with 32bit / 64bit OS?
Help still needed.
Thanks?

With the core audio drivers installed, it can take a long time for the units to connect. Usually within 5-10 seconds you get both virtual decks.
With this beta core driver though, I have seen it take up to 45 seconds.
Try that, if it doesn't connect, uninstall the core audio drivers. If you need to do so, please post up this information in the core / asio beta driver thread. This can help the developers get the info they need to make them a full release instead of beta.
Ironing out kinks is part of the beta process and for some people, I have seen this come up.

Yes, make sure you're booted into a 32bit kernal extension

@Chad thanks..i will post this up at the Beta thread. I waited up to 10mins after conecting the SL3 but nothing happened. Scratch Live still didnt recognize it. When i uninstalled the Core drivers and reverted back to the normal one...things went back to normal and SL recognized SL3
@Shaun....so i have to boot into 32bit...I thought that was an issue with SL1 and TTM57SL users.

For now, trying the 32 bit method with the core drivers installed would be worth a shot.
This workaround forces your computer to boot into 32-bit mode to get things working properly.
NOTE: You will need to do this each time you boot your computer.
1) Turn off you Mac.
2) Power up your Mac. While your mac is starting up press the 3 and 2 keys at the same time. This will launch Mac OS into 32 bit mode.
Check if you are in 32-bit mode.
Check to see if you have booted up into 32-bit mode rather than 64-bit mode.
1) Click on the Apple icon in the top left corner of the screen.
2) Select 'About This Mac'.
3) Select 'More Info'.
4) Go to 'Software' on left side.
5) '64-bit Kernel and Extensions' should say 'no' if you have booted into 32 bit mode.
NOTE: There will be no noticeable performance differences between 64-bit and 32-bit modes.

Hey it worked with the 32 bit boot. That means i have to boot into 32 bit if i wanna use my SL3 with other DVS...and i gotta keep installing and re-installing the core audio driver. #Ahwell
Any idea of a release date for the 64bit supported drivers?

You will need to boot in 32 bit mode for now. I know the 64bit driver is in developement and hopefully will be ready for the next release. They developers don't give us timelines so I don't have a date for you atm.

One other thing, my MBP froze when i tried to close Scratch Live and i hard to do a "hard" power down. I did not pull out the SL3 before this happened.

DJ Marv the Maverick

Nope...it happens with the regular release drivers if i pull out the SL3 without closing SL. But with the Core Audio drivers (beta) i just installed it happened when i was closing SL. (SL3 was still plugged in)

My Mac-book pro is a quad core, 2.0ghz, Feb 2011 edition.
The kernel panic when unplugging the hardware while the software is open is a known issue. The developers have a few of the new models and can duplicate this. That means they have a handle on why it happens and I anticipate a fix in the next software release.
Are youy using 10.6.6 or did you update to 10.6.7?

Thank you.
We've been seeing it in both but I know they are working with the 10.6.7 version to discover the fix.

Not so cool for the users. At least the lights should not go out. Makes only little sense to me.

Well, i have uninstalled the Core Audio driver...Scratch live always freeze when i try to close it even without disconnecting SL3. And thats even with booting into 32bit. Guess i will wait for another release of the core audio drivers.
Too much hassle with this new MBP and older stuff.

I have the core audio driver installed on my macbook pro. I use the SL3 for the Output of Ableton Live when using the bridge. Had the same problems as Mark the Maverick.
My question: Will booting in 32bit mode have any influence to the performance of ScratchLive / Ableton Live / Bridge ?

No, I did not yet install the driver in 32bit...But I will test it tomorrow.
I use the TTM57 for ScratchLive and the SL3 as Audio Output for Ableton Live.

So....
I use a MacBook Pro Early 2008 (MacBookPro 4,1).
The problem wasn't 32/64bit. I did not wait as long as necessary for ScratchLive to recognize the SL3...The Youtube video from Konix helped me out.
Sorry for that!
Thank you

Quick question, what procedure did you follow to uninstall the core audio drivers?

I suggest booting into 64bit mode, deleting the SeratoScratchDriver.kext file from the System/Library/Extensions folder, booting back into 32bit mode and then reinstalling SSL 2.2.0.

@Shawn i dont have any problems uninstalling the Core Drivers. My SL works fine in 64bit with the regular software (i.e not Beta)
With the Core Driver workin in 32 bit, i can use my SL3 with other DVS right, but since it aint working properly for me i decided to uninstall it.
Will deleting the "SeratoScratchDriver.kext" solve my initial problem ?

The initial problem is the SL3 Core Audio drivers affecting how Scratch Live detects the SL3 in a 64bit environment.
The SeratoScratchDriver.kext file is needed for Scratch Live to detect the SL3. Uninstalling the Core Audio drivers will resolve the original issue.

I should delete the .kext file in the 64bit mode, then reboot into 32bit and re-install SSL 2.2.0 in the 32bit Mode?
Should i then re-install the Core Drivers after this doing this?

Yes, please.
Test with out the drivers installed and see if SSL recognizes the SL3 first and then install the Core Audio drivers.

@Shawn Same Result ...my it worked in 32 bit with the Core drivers installed but when i tried to exit Serato i got the Black Screen with the Chinese letters...(Just as i was getting before). Deleting the kext file and reinstalling in 32 bit didn't solve it.

Thanks for the testing. Please uninstall the Core Audio drivers as a temporary workaround.
Apple is aware of the kernel panic issues present in the 10.6.7 version of OSX as is working on a fix.
The same kernel panic issue affects more than just USB audio devices -->> www.google.com
