---

Played for about 6 hrs.
only dicers and ttm57 connected (dicers via hub)
tried to load a track to left deck with drag and drop (mouse)
mouse pointer freezes with plus-sign
track does not load.
can still [apple]+[tab] to Finder and back to SSL
can still switch groups on the 57 with group button.
went to group 1 and tried to scroll tracks, to no avail
but by pushing the knob i was able to load the track that was currently highlighted (the one that did not load when the GUI froze)
by moving the right knob, focused to crates as usual, but did not scroll up or down.
by moving the left knob, focused to tracks as usual, but did not scroll either.

waveforms still moving, just no more user interaction apart from vinyl control and SOME 57 controls (as described)

could not close SSL from within itself (complete gui freeze)
apple+alt+esc did not show a "no response" message, could close just with a click.

Hello radikarl,

Have you been able to reproduce this?
My guess is you were having a heat related issue.

If you haven't already please install and use --> www.macupdate.com

It will allow you to monitor the temp of your computer as well as boost your fan speed to the desired speed.

zach, thank you for your reply.

but since the only thing actually hanging was the SSL GUI, i doubt it was heat-related.
plus i am running on a 2,66 ghz c2d mbp with 4 gb ram, and it was on a flat surface and never had issues like that with earlier versions.

i think it is more probable that this was a software related problem.
but i will still try to monitor the upcoming nights with the fancontrol software you mentioned.

thank you

radikarl

Overheating can cause all sorts of issues. GUI issues usually being the first to pop up.
Keep an eye on it and let us know if you find any new info.
