setup screen / rescan id3 tags

tried that already, no success.... is anyone else having the same problem?

Have you tried rescanning the tags in iTunes?

1. Close all programs.
2. Open up iTunes.
3. Click on your 'music' to show all the songs in your library.
4. Select all (apple+a Mac) (ctrl+a PC).
5. Right click on the highlighted area (PC) or Ctrl+mouse button on the highlighted area(Mac).
6. Select 'get info' from the drop down menu.
7. Click 'yes' when asked if you want to edit multiple items.
8. Click 'ok' at the bottom of the edit page.

josh i uploaded a file where the year shows in itunes but doesnt in serato.. can u draw any conclusions?

I've been having this same problem with my setup since day one (almost 2 years now). I've rescanned my id3 tags to no avail, and doing it in iTunes is a moot point because I don't use my iTunes in SSL.

Mine is kinda odd, because the random file here or there WILL have a year show up. I'll upload a track.
