bmore set?

dj cubicle 11:35 PM - 25 June, 2007
Can anyone point me in the direction of a recorded bmore set? I wanna get a feel for how DJs spin this stuff.

...and please don't turn this into a DJ commentary about bmore itself.

I'm envisioning something like a bmore/ghettotech/miami bass mishmash for the secondary area at the club shadow and I spin at.

Sound too random?

Not at all, to some of us at least. Anything Between 125-160 is fine and dandy!

that actually sounds good. they all have similar elements so it shouldn't be too random.

Funny... if you google "Baltimore Club Mix CD" my CD is the first few hits. www.deeznotes.com

It's old, but has a lot of classics and is constantly the highest numbered file downloaded from my site. The hits it gets are ridiculous.

My mixing style is a little different than others from Baltimore. Most DJs now don't scratch or don't use doubles. That's something we did back in the day, but since they switched to CDJs they got lazy. Sometimes I can't resist rocking doubles of some songs. I mix a little faster than others too (just a little).

There was a video of DJ Godfather posted a while back. I've never seen or heard him mix, but that right there was the way it SHOULD be done if you ask me (even though it was ghettotech and not bmore club).

Good info Deez, that's kinda what I was trying to figure out, whether it should be played with long transitions or quick mixed like ghettotech. I'm gonna peep that mix cd when I get home.
