u can just select/ highlight what u want to analyze. or in the options where u can put in artist, ablum, location and so on. put in ADDED, click on it and scroll right to the bottom and you gonna see the last set of music u just put in sratch live

You have a corrupt databaseV2 file.

1. Completely quit SSL.
2. Click on the 'Start' menu in the lower left corner of your desktop.
3. Click on your 'My Music' folder (XP) or 'Music' folder (Vista).
4. Open the ScratchLIVE folder.
5. Rename the databaseV2 file to something like "corruptdatabaseV2".

Now open your external drive (if your using one).

6. Open up the _ScratchLIVE_ folder.
7. Rename the databaseV2 file in there as well.

Now re-open SSL.

If done correctly, you should see your tags getting re-written at the bottom of the screen.

I would still suggest dragging/dropping new music directly onto the analyze files tab.
It will only analyze those particular files.

daviidxsaiid 9:20 PM - 1 March, 2011

daviidxsaiid 9:24 PM - 1 March, 2011
basically my whole library isnt there. this is a BIG issue i dont have time to do this. it took 3 days to get down to 500 files and now i need to restart the whole process? really? i have a gig tomorrow how am i suppose to do it?

Rebuilding the database will delete any files that weren't in crates but were just sitting in your 'all' section.
This is not a big deal as all you need to do is highlight all your music files and re-import them into the 'all' section again.
It will not duplicate any files that are already in your crates. It will just import what isn't there.

If none of your files are there then what 7000 files is it trying to analyze?

How are they screwed up?
daviidxsaiid 12:46 AM - 2 March, 2011
the ones that i have organized by month now have nothing in then because serato is acting like i just imported all my music
daviidxsaiid 12:53 AM - 2 March, 2011
i was able to go to my music folder and sort them by date to select each months worth and drop it onto the smart crate but is there a way to save this because when i x out of serato it undoes that

It sounds like UAC is getting in the way and not allowing Scratch Live to write information to its database.

Go into the Control Panel.

(Make sure your in Classic View)

Click 'User Accounts'.

Click on the option towards the bottom "turn user account controls on/off" and uncheck the "use UAC..." option.

Restart your computer and test your setup again.
daviidxsaiid 12:39 AM - 3 March, 2011
dont see that as an option

Where are you getting stuck?
daviidxsaiid 9:04 PM - 4 March, 2011
theres no uac but its fine. i found a way to solve the problem. deleted the smart crates and made regular crates and just put files in by sorting them by date which what i had the smart crates do.
