I have the Serato SL1 , my lap top had windows vista it caught a virus i had it fixed and they put windows XP cause i guess it was more compatible with serato but now that I try to dowload the software the wizard window appears saying that it can't download the program

Thanks for that. So are you getting the error message when you try and download the installer, or when you try and run the installer? Are you able to take a screen shot of this error message and attach it to this thread?

When i try to run the installer,and then it says that the next time i try it to run set upexe but everytime i do it it gives me the same message i already try to cancel the wizard at the beginning but it still doesn't work how can i uninstall the program so i can install it again oh and by the way the only thing i can see there are the tutorial videos that i can see

Ok, if you want to uninstall software from your PC then follow the steps in this article -> support.microsoft.com (click link). Once you've done that, run the installer again.

Please let me know how you get on.

what I did I took my lap top to the place where they fixed it for some reason the letters on the the drive were different for example on the lap top it said serato D drive and when the wizard box comes up it says Error C drive could not be install but the lap top does not have a Cdrive so the guy said that he will re program the lap top again and see what happens

That sounds promising, hopefully he can fix it for you. Please let me know if you continue to have this problem.

Windows XP Windows 7 or windows Vista ? thank you

We recommend Windows 7, but Windows XP is also good. I would suggest that you avoid Windows Vista if you can.

Hi Michael I got my lap top back they install Windows 7 but I'm back to square one the reason the USB light alwasys comes up red and you hear a lot os static on the speakers I already change another USB cable and still does the same thing this problem was the same even when I had windows Vista before what do you think its the problem I always caliber the software everytime I use it but it does the same thing

Are you trying to install the same thing every time? Have you tried to download the program from the website again and have you tried installing different versions?

and by the way, the guys at all the music stores tell me the number 1 problem they see is bad ports/jacks on SL boxes because people have mistreated and abused them. So... BABY THE BOX!

Ok i had the same problem the port on box where the USB cable is connected its loose when i connect the USB cable its loose so I took it back to the store and they gave me a new box and it does the same thing so I thought that thats the way it is but new never mis treated the box i bought this over almost 1 year ago what do you think I should do

Sorry for the delay in reply, I've been on holiday over the Christmas and New Year period.

If the red USB light comes on, that means that you are getting USB dropouts. This is not a fault with the hardware, so nothing to worry about there.

I fixed the USB issuu but now the right deck does not get the 100% calibration it stays at 0 the left one is fine and also when I try to play only with one turn table when I move the fader to my right the track is slow and with static I changed my turntables thinking it was my turntable but still does the same after I switched them is always my right side only

Do you have the right deck input set to Phone or Line?
