I just got two v7's today and noticed that there is no echo out...... This was my goto effect in SSL and from what Ive seen the most popular effect on the 57 and the internal effects.
Does anyone know how to recreate an echo out. I have two v7's.

I have a DJM-800. I just miss being able to hit a button on kontrol x-1 and not have to worry about bringing the fader down so my hands can focus on other things. Hopefully itch 2.0 will offer it........ Any Ideas?

sorry worded that wrong you run the risk of the two conflicting when switching around effects between the two units.

cause the V&'s has no idea what your MIXER is doing so there is no way to get the echo trail when you drop the volume

Why shouldn't it work on the V7's? (I haven't tried it though)cause the V&'s has no idea what your MIXER is doing so there is no way to get the echo trail when you drop the volume

Why dropping the volume? Echo Out can also be achieved without it. How does Scratch Live's DJ Fx know what you're doing on the mixer? It does not. But Echo Out still works on DJ FX.

then do it and tell this person how to do it

that was his original question If you know it can be done then tell him how. I personally have only seen it done by dj's with the effect on the mixer

As said I haven't tried it out yet.
What I was trying to say is that just because the software does not know what the mixer does, does not necessarily mean that a Echo Out is not possible. That's all :)

ok but here is my experience with the v7's once you kill a channel the music is dead. I guess the only way to do it would be to set the echo and press stop on that v7. leaving the channel up

Hey Nik - Scratch Live's Echo Out has the auto-fader effect in the effect patch. This isn't available for ITCH (originally it didn't need it, until the V7s came along). It is something we want to bring to ITCH soon for devices such as the V7 however.
As for the VFX-1 and using these with the V7s - this can be done. However you get strange behaviour when swapping layers.

yep, sucks. i am personally expecting a huge improvement on all the different effects that ITCH has on the upcoming version. will be a huge disappointment if they don't improve them.

Good to know a solution is possibly on the way.

I totally feel everyone on this issue on echoing out. But I just ran into a video on youtube of the new Allen & Heath Xone DB4 DJ/DIGITAL/MIXER and is also fully MIDI. The biggest thing about this mixer is their Effects. I want to find out if itch will be compatible to use with this mixer. I understand everyone was talking only about the effects on itch and some other devices. But this mixer is like the Pioneer djm 800 but a lot better. By the way the Allen & Heath Xone DB4 goes for almost $4k. It is a bit pricey for my wallet. here is the video for you to check out.
