Safdsre doesn't use vinyl anymore. He imposes his will onto the needles to come up with a sound. He can play full sets with the tone arm up on the rest.

that's called internal mode.

Haven't bought any pressings and refuse to do so until they come out with one that looks like a mariachi sombrero.
