HittinSkinzTa2 9:02 PM - 3 April, 2007
ATCQ, Wu Tang, Brand Nubian, Run DMC, EPMD, Public Enemy.
I'd also say BDP, Eric B & Rakim, Pete Rock & CL, but technically they aren't "Groups" with only one MC.
HittinSkinzTa2 9:04 PM - 3 April, 2007
Can't forget Gangstarr. ;)
rabblerouser 9:41 PM - 3 April, 2007
Once it's all said and done, I'd say De La Soul. Revolutionary early work and they never cease to create solid album after solid album. Fools absolutely hated on Stakes is High when it came out with an unknown Dilla blessing them with beats.

Plus, they've consistently been one of the greatest crews to bless the occasional guest spot. From the Propellerheads to DJ Honda to the Gorillaz, they just never disappoint me.

It's almost 20 years after 3 Feet High and I still want to see them whenever they come to town. Luckily, they're here tonight!

Can you tell I've thought about this :)

Heard it in pieces. Def a few good tracks on it though. Just sucks cuz he never seems to get any hype around his releases. Dude is due for a platinum record.

Well I never said he was top rated, even though I believe he is one of the best, I was just surprised that the GROUP was not in anyones top favorites. I mean people are picking groups that had mediocre emcees. I just think that the Roots and Outkast are the most consistant and innovative groups in hip-hop.

One of the best modern Rap groups in my opinion. I did however forget Outkast. As Someone mentioned earlier, a true rap group should have more than one emcee therefore, I eliminated the Roots (no more Malik B) and Gang Starr. I also consider the Wu a crew like the Juice Crew and not a Rap Group.
