Not talking about facebook profile.. i mean an actual fan page?

I was finally able to create & finish designing mine this past week: www.facebook.com

Pages have significant benefits over profiles. Their stat tracker is pretty impressive, allowing you to break down who visits your page by gender, location, what they clicked, etc.

The social tools are even better, allowing you to create badges and other stuff to put in your actual website or elsewhere.

Took me a while to finally jump on the wagon, but internet stuff is somewhat easy for me so I put it together quick. I wanna see what your pages look like, so post them up! Let me know if you need help figuring it out too, I'll post some useful design tutorial links. Like it or not, building a strong "brand" online & keeping in touch with your fanbase is just as important nowadays as anything else. Not more important than beatmatching, but you know what I mean.

I was thinking about getting one myself. I'm not on FB, I always preferred Twitter, but the fan page idea seems necessary as you've pointed out in terms of your brand. I don't have a personal profile on FB do I need one first in order to have a fan page?

You need a minimum amount of followers.. I think 30?.. But I forget...

You set the username here: www.facebook.com

Select your page form the dropdown and set a username. Same as with profiles, its permanent, so make a wise decision.

You need 25 fans before you can set a username.

FBML app. then you can adda custom tab to any of your pages.
