Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

Remove buttons for 33 & 45

this makes no sense to have these mp3 plays at the correct speed without them and I see no need for them in the program. Besides when the 45 button is pressed the song sounds like 16 speed not 45. get rid of this wasted feature that not being used.

How is it a wasted feature? If you press the 45 button, you have to put your turntable at 45 RPM also, if you keep it at 33.3 then obviously it's going to sound slow. I like playing at 45RPM, it's better for mixing.

yeah run ur tt 5 years constantly at 33 and then put it into trash

yeah.. alot of EDM DJ's like 45rpm b/c thats what alot of EDM vinyl comes as on a 12" vinyl (most of my dnb vinyl is 45rpm). I lie the feature b/c it gives you fexabilty to mix inthe styles you are used to. Whn im dong hip-hop top 0 i like using 33rpm.. but when im doing edm i like useing 45rpm b/cits wht im used todoing when working with those formats!

Well, djbigmark uses CDJs, so this may be a pointless feature for him, but certainly not for turntable users.

I spin at 45 as well. I have NO idea why anyone would want to piss this feature off... but as you say he must be a CDJ.

we already do have CD/Turntable modes..... its called the LINE/Phono button... basicaly does the same thing!!!!
DJ-A 5:26 PM - 19 February, 2007
but when it is in line mode it still has the 33 and 45 settings... how would this make a difference when using line other than making the song ssssllllooooowwww

my idea is taking off features used only with turntables if you will be using cd players.

but you can use the 45rpm with cd player... its called creative mixing... Fat Boy Slims "live on the floor of the Boutique" where he remixes the Jungle Brother track (i think it track 4 on the cd) is a good example of using the 33rpm record at 45rpm to remix it live!

We're also required to cater for those CD decks on the market with an active platter that spins at either 33 or 45RPM, such as the Denon S3500...
DJ-A 2:58 PM - 20 February, 2007
why would a cd player have those controls?
