Power goes off on decks,SL stops responding

Even when running my laptop on battery if power goes off, SL stops responding even when my decks are back on..

Any idea?

Power outages are frequent in my area and i don't wanna be facing this problem in a live situation..

It sounds like on its own your laptop doesn't provide enough juice to power the SL1 interface.

Get a UPS (uninterruptable power supply). You can get an inexpensive one (I'd recommend APC) for under $50 these days that will keep your system up for the short amount of time the power does go off.

Well i was running on battery all the time! Even before the powercut..so why was the SL working before the power cut and not during?

It must be something with the rest of the setup that's affecting the software?

If the power goes out it shouldn't affect your laptop at all, especially if its not even plugged into an outlet.
Have you tried using your computer's power adaptor and the power adaptor for the SL1?

Well my serato didn't come with a power supply..

Can i get a standard variable power supply from the market and what should be the specs? Voltage, AC/DC etc?
