skinnyguy 1:09 AM - 25 February, 2005
i'm just curious...and this post may help others that use cd players, dual deck or tabletop, with ssl.

i'm on maui and i use the denon s5k's with ssl.
BriChi 1:44 AM - 25 February, 2005
I use multiple mobile systems which include the follwing dual cd players (all Denon) that i use SSL on:
2600, 2500, 1800, 4000, 3000,

SSL 1.3 works great with all of these decks.

Any body use the pioneer CMX3000?
daenyx 7:51 PM - 3 April, 2005
I use the pioneer cmx3000. I only used ssl with it once to try it out. i like technics turntables way better for ssl. the cmx does work perfect like you'd think with ssl, but the fast starts do have a tiny but of lag compared to regular cds, at least on my system (powerbook 1.5ghz)

btw has anyone who uses cmx3000 had the pioneer firmare upgrade for it?
djBurnz 12:08 AM - 30 September, 2005
I use the cmx3000 and it is kinda slow when to trying to scratch in a beat. I like the turntables better.
DJ_X_Trodinaire 12:21 AM - 30 September, 2005
i use denon 1ks and 5ks
djBurnz 2:38 AM - 30 September, 2005
do the denon 1ks respond accurately when scratching? my problem with cmx3000 is that when it comes time to scratch in a track on beat, I have to play catch up with pitch bend . . . thinking about returning the cmx3000 and gettting a denon dual deck . . .
DJ MDX 2:49 AM - 30 September, 2005
I use Denon DN-S5000's w/ SSL and maybe soon DN-S3500's

Peeti-V 2:25 AM - 1 October, 2005
I use cdj 800s for mobile gigs and turntables at home or at clubs
bushby 5:16 PM - 1 October, 2005
I use Technics at home, CDJ1000's at my friends house. If I'm playing out and they have decent CD decks I like to use those because it means I dont have to mess about calibrating the SSL through the clubs shitty needles.
JD 6:37 PM - 1 October, 2005
I started working at a lounge a couple of weeks ago where their turntable pitch is shot. I started using their CDJ's with SSL. I havent messed with cd players for over 2 years. I gotta say though, I love it!
brooster 7:41 PM - 1 October, 2005
I've been using Numark CDN-88's for a while now.

I used to hate them when i used cd's (back in the day !!!) but now, they do the job really well.

Infact, im just getting ready for my gig tonight - SSL - I love it !!

anewsome 6:55 AM - 24 February, 2006
I have SLDZ-1200 and m3ds. I had been using the SLDZ heavy for road gigs since the coffin is hella small with a 10 inch mixer. Very compact setup and easy to transport/setup. I had been using it for so long that when I got back on my turntables, I was skipping the needle all over the place. I lost my touch for vinyl. I have not touched my DZ1200s since NAMM. I don't see any occasion where I will use the DZ1200s, except where I have very limited space, unstable platform or require in/out of the club with one trip worth of gear (it's happened before).
