Having problems with Serato it won’t read my tags any more (it take about 45 min to finish reading my tags) I had no problems with Xp but since I’ve gotten windows seven. My music has been erased it take a long time for it to read tag’s. losing music file, any fix for this problem. this week alone iv lost 100 songs and i think there a problem with windows Seven and Serato. HELP Iv got a gig tonight and 2 songs had stop on me for no apparent reason. they were working fine with XP. when i went back to check them out they were the right tag but wrong song. weard uh. HELP.

Are they MP3 files or are they uncompressed like a wav.
You should see a total count of what has been analyzed along the top of the grey bars. If you walk away for 15 mintes, does that number ever improve?
What are the specs on your computer?

Yes they are all MP3 no WAV files and my hard drive works great with My old IBM R40 I’m ashamed just to tell you the speed on that old Pc but I don’t have a problem with that PC in this Pc I have operation system windows XP with no problem for four years straight, I never had a hard drive problem just in case, you need to know what kind of hard drive, Glyph 500GB with 7200rpm great hard drive I recommend just in case.
The New PC that I have Same Glyph Hard drive. It's A HP Pavilion entertainment pc with Intel Core i7 64-bit. Pc The operation system is window 7 with a 500GB internal hard drive 7200rpm and it has the new 2.0 and it seem to run slower the the old Pc which is weird.

How about the RAM and Processor specs. I am familiar with the"i" series processor.
In the _ScratchLIVE_ folder on your external HD, do you see a history folder?
How about in the Music folder of the internal HD?

Started trouble shooting the problem early on Saturday Morning.
I re-formatted the hard drive in windows seven. Copy the files from Xp and past it in the reformatted hard drive.
I then plug the hard drive directly into the Hp laptop USB 2.0 slots instead of using the express card. I used the USB 2.0 wire instead of the 800 fire that I normally use. And will you believe it on Saturday & Sunday night right at the club no problems what so ever. Every thing went smooth.
