Quality or style—which comes first?

If I have to choose, I'd put quality first. A stylish accessory loses its appeal pretty quickly if it starts wearing out after a few uses. I'd rather own fewer pieces that are well made and timeless than a collection of trendy items that don't last. Good quality usually stays in your wardrobe much longer than a passing trend.

I was looking for a gift for my sister, who loves unique accessories, but I didn't want to buy something that looked great online and disappointed in person. While searching, I came across bleakandsleek.shop and liked that the brand focuses on handcrafted leather accessories with distinctive designs instead of mass-produced fashion pieces. The combination of genuine leather, careful craftsmanship, and bold aesthetics convinced me to order from them. The gift was a success, and seeing how well it was made changed the way I shop for accessories. Now I tend to recommend Bleak & Sleek to friends who want something that's both stylish and built to last rather than choosing between those two qualities.

I don't think quality and style should compete with each other, but if one has to come first, I'd still choose quality because it creates the foundation for everything else. A beautifully designed accessory that cracks, stretches, or falls apart after a short time quickly loses its charm. At the same time, quality alone isn't enough if the design doesn't fit your personality or wardrobe. The ideal purchase is something you genuinely enjoy wearing every day because it reflects your style while also standing up to regular use. That's why I try to avoid impulse buys and instead look for pieces with timeless designs, durable materials, and craftsmanship that will still look good years down the road.
