scratchlive.net <- click. You have posted this previously.

totally pointless suggestion....

nik39: board errors saying something about ''you forgot to post a message''... so hence i posted it again.

Monk-A: 31 bands of light indicating frequency response of mster output... i'm a sound engineer & oh... also a nighclub dj.
So I think that there is a point to my suggestion!!

I'd rather have it in the scratch live screen than lug around outboard fx rack.

Danny can you explain this to somebody who is no sound engineer?

Why the need of a 31band realtime...blabla... when SSL anyway has no clue how your EQ-settings and Gain-settings on your mixer are?

An outboard 31...blabla.... makes sense, just one in SSL doesn't - to me.

Yeah right, it took 18+ days to get the forums message to you ;)

As I replied to the first posting about this, the SSL waveforms already contain a great deal of spectral information so I'm not getting why putting in a real-time analyzer would be needed or desirable.

granted it would eat up all of any cpu's resources, winamp had a basic rta, wmp has basic.., itunes has basic, adobe audition has basic.. i just want it. I'm not asking for a 60band .. yet!
Just want scratch live to be everything it should be..
default media player, a bit foobar2000-ish, audition/acid/abletonlive/torq/cubase the whole audio/video thing.
now getting back to 2006' slack cpu's.....
make scifi; scifact already.

sorry ppl, i'm anticipating the filters/eq's to be in ssl software. (possibly this is already only in with & when using the 57.) but don't think i'm going to own one (57).
Don't mind using ssl in internal mode, just need faders & cue output; like all those older dj appz. carrot innovations virtual turntables, DJ1200SL, alcatech bpm studio etc.
just speaking my mind.

You're asking for "consumer" features in a "professional" product. Like adding air-conditioning, 5.1 audio, a sunroof and curb-feelers to a race car. Please no. There's plenty of other DJ software that's loaded up with this kind of stuff, and there's plenty of good reason why this stuff is *not* in SSL.

danny, all these analalysers are no 31band analysers anyway. espacially the winamp analyser shows you anything but the frequency analysis! Furthermore there are no "real" software realtime analysers yet - only fft analysers. If you want a meaningfull frequency analysis you have to use an hardware analyser, or programming your own software analyser (2x6th order filter for every third octave band).
I´m an engineer too and i understand your wish of analysing the frequency proportion. But this is a domain that have nothing to do with djing or scratching.
My tip: Buy NI-Reaktor, learn writing dsp-algorythms and try to emulate an hardware analyser. (I´m trying this for more than a year but dsp is complicated to learn and my analyser eat up all my cpu resources :) )
Good luck to you

enuff already. phuck txt sucks.
