Random Serato DJ Pro audio glitches on Legacy SL3

I'm using a Rane SL3 controller with turntables and recently upgraded the version of Serato DJ Pro from 2.3.1 to 2.5.5, which is the latest version that has support for my hardware. After experiencing some audio glitches, as if the track skipped and glitched out for a brief moment, I tried downgrading to a version in between - v2.4.6.
I'm still getting the audio glitch issue, which I'm not able to determine the cause as they are not frequent enough but still occur when using Serato DJ Pro.
Inside of Serato DJ Pro's settings, under the Audio tab, there is a button that will open a Rane SL3 “Audio Driver Control Panel”. Inside the Rane SL3 “Audio Driver Control Panel”, it shows me that it’s at Firmware Version 1.09 (potentially the firmware from the old Serato Scratch Live???), but then it shows that it has an “Update Firmware” button and tells me that the latest is Version 2.50.
After searching in these forums, on Rane’s support section, on Serato’s support section, on Reddit's /r/serato, and web searching around - I can not find anything discussing these Firmware Versions.
I don't want to "upgrade" it, brick it, and then have a bigger problem. Also, since I cannot find any documentation or downloads anywhere, it's not clear if I would even be able to "downgrade" the firmware if "upgrading it" gave me any further issues.
Does anyone have any more information regarding the Rane SL box firmwares?

if it prompts you to update firmware then you have to update to the latest firmware for your SL3 to work properly.

It's not "prompting me" and I cannot find any documentation anywhere about firmwares.
That link you shared only has firmwares listed under "Seventy-Two Mixer".
Have you upgraded the firmware on a SL1, SL2, or SL3 box before?

This is confusing as:
- A "Driver" is "A driver is a software component that lets the operating system and a device communicate." (source learn.microsoft.com)
- A "Firmware" is "a software program, or set of instructions, programmed onto a hardware device." (source techterms.com)
A "Driver" and a "firmware" are two totally different things when it comes to Operating Systems (which use drivers to communicate with hardware) and to the actual firmware that "lives" on the actual hardware.
Also, there is "1.09" or "2.50" listed under the section for the SL3 @ www.rane.com

That 1.9 or 2.5 are updates to Serato dj. Each time the decimal increases means there is a new hardware introduced to the software, and each whole number increase mean new features to the software, and both include bug fixes.

I guess all drivers for SL3 are here: www.rane.com but I dont see any firmware. which means you dont have to update firmware,
But you must install the correct drivers for whatever OS you have on your laptop, Win or Mac

also bare in mind The Rane SL3 support has been discontinued, so you might have to roll back to a Serato version that works with no issues, if you wanna use old gear thats how it is,
