I've been reading in the forums about Tidal having issues on NYE,
I definately prepared for this, Having my music offline and not depending on streaming platforms.

This could become another ‘Grimes’ turning point where people realise they are sleepwalking into causing issues for themselves by relying on flaky practises.
Hopefully 2025 brings purchased music and real beatmatching skills back to the fore.

Agree DJ STU-C, its 2025 and streaming music is flakey as hell, I suspect Tidal servers couldnt handle the music streams from millions of users on NYE, Happy New Year DJ STU-C:)

Aaaah so that's why tidal was down...
Good thing I have an extensive local music library but still.
I ran into issues with my phase remotes too on NYE, they kept disconnecting as well as other colleagues had problems too but I managed.
Anyone else had any technical problems this time?

wow murpheys law,
My external hard drive has everything I need to complete any gig, But something told me that there was going to be an issue so I made sure I didnt have to rely on the internet connection and Tidal at all, and I had a trouble free NYE.
Happy New Year Despo💯

i had issues on NYE with Tidal, but i only use it to supplement request and stuff like that so i was good. i really wish we would get some offline storage. we'll probably get it in the future for a fee of course.

Like I mentioned before I'm always prepared for worst case scenarios, especially NYE or Gigs in the country side, network is always an issue, if cellphone companies servers crash at 12am NYE then the same would happen to a streaming provider like Tidal, especially with the polpularity of Tidal with DJs.
theres many ways to have your music offline, theres music sites that you can pay and download tracks, use google search
