Use the colour coding feature and pick a colour for tracks you love, or create a favourites crate and drop them in there.

Renaming tracks is definitely a bad way of doing it imo, the track and file name should remain true to its actual value, in case you ever move to another software as a prime example.

Stu thank you for the quick replay and please forgive a relative newbie. Both of those options are preferable so thanks for the guidance and the opportunity to implement something immediately.

Ultimately I want to be able to create a simple keyboard shortcut / macro so as to free up the need for a mouse. I can't see a keyboard shortcut for either option. (I think I have become over-reliant on them in Foobar!)

No probs, I’m not that good with the keyboard shortcuts but those Mac keyboard skins might provide any clues to if it’s possible. It might be a shift function
