Serato DJ Pro Midi Button Greyed Out

I picked up a DDJ-XP2 and the Serato Club Kit so I could build playlists without connecting to my Rev7. However, Serato is not recognizing the XP2. Works fine in Rekordbox and Djay Pro. When I start up Serato, the MIDI button is greyed out unless I attach the Rev7. I picked up Club Kit just so I could access Midi without the Rev7, but for some reason, no love from Serato.

Serato 3.2.4 on a Mac.

Any suggestions?

XP is an "official accessory", club kit doesn't enable anything with that, it's only to unlock certain soundcards.

What do you mean by build playlists?

Thanks popnwave. I thought I could use the XP2 to browse through my library like a controller when I was away from my Rev7, which is definitely too large to haul to the dog park, lol. Strange Serato disables all midi without a controller attached... Seems like a pointless crippling of the software, especially after dumping $300/400 into software that my controller unlocks anyway... Rekordbox doesn't do this. Guess I'm moving over to the dark side of Pioneer... Not ideal, but Serato is turning more and more into crippleware.

Suggest looking at Serato Play expansion. Neat tool to prepare sets and even DJ without hardware connected. You can even record your sets with 2 deck play. Cheers
