Macbook Air just for mixing at home?

I know about pro is better and that Airs don't have fans. But I will only be mixing at home in the UK so heat shouldn't be an issue. With an M2 or M3 and 16gb RAM, do I really need a Pro?

Just to let you guys know. Since the release of Apple Silicon chipset the fan theory doesnt apply anymore. And all the M series macs are powerful little beasts. I have both a Macbook Air M1 and a Macbook Pro 14 inch M1 Pro ....both are fully capable of doing the job in any climate.

Raffy G I agree with you!!! I have the m1 air holding up to the max, I mix videos with it too.

I'm using an M2 air.

Never had an audio dropout, even when using FX/Stems/video.

Even if you're in a club environment the M1 Macbook Air will be good to go!
M Chips do the work even if it's not the Pro

Honestly, for just mixing at home, the MacBook Air with M2 or M3 and 16GB RAM should handle it just fine.
