Tidal Music, Terms & Conditions, unclear for DJs.

I just read some of Tidal’s Terms and Conditions,
I pay extra for the DJ expansion which I use at my events,
But the terms of Tidal states:
"The use of the TIDAL Service with DJ Tools is for personal, non-commercial use only"
WTF, I was under the impression that I could use Tidal Music for my DJ events since I pay extra for the DJ expansion, this is misleading and confusing as a working DJ.
The reason why I bought this up is because I was asked before one of my events that I needed a music license to play music at venue.
I researched this topic and found out that private venues, Pubs, Bars Clubs owners are responsible for paying music licenses from APRA Aust/NZ, for other DJs around the world the laws may differ,
If you are playing at a private event closed off to the public then the venue needs to pay the music license, Not the DJ, this is the majority of events that DJs play at, weddings, birthdays etc.
If you play at a public event that’s open to the public then the DJ/Promoter have to sort the licenses out.
I've never had to pay this License; I've been asked once in my 25+ years of DJing.
But I do realise that some Pubs/Bars/Clubs try and push this responsibility over to the DJs, Some DJs are falling for this and pay the License,
As a DJ you should know your rights when it comes to music Licenses and events.
Back to Tidal, I automatically assumed that I was allowed to use Tidal music since I pay a subscription including the DJ expansion every month?

I'm pretty sure Tidal is well aware that accounts with DJ expansions are being used at events by DJs. and they're not doing anything about it. cause money is flowing every month.
what do you DJs think?

This was kicked around on reddit and no one knows.
They are still selling the expansion pack as of today - so all we can is wait and see if that gets pulled on Jan 1st.

You know, I will be sad if it does go away. Why?
Last night I had a holiday party gig, decided to sign up for the trial and add the dj expansion. I had 95% of the material but where I am the latin crowd leans heavily towards Mexican artists vs my library which was heavier on reggaeton and dancehall from my years in Florida.
The couple tracks I was able to mix with my own library made for a fun experience. I am glad I do NOT rely on that for my entire set because tracks loading on a casino's wifi worked, but sometimes was fast and sometimes slow. That would be too stressful. But when I got a request for a 9 min long track and people went berserk, I was able to go take a leak AND the couples dancing together were so happy after.
I might not play that song ever again, but in that moment, Tidal was worth it.
Hopefully the new terminology is just them being vague.

100%, Tidal has been a lifesaver for me, Ive created plenty of playlist to fit my events,
its been useful for not carrying singles on my main hard drive, my main drive just has pretty much remixes and some singles just in case theres no wifi and there has been a lot of times,
Tidal is not my prefered streaming site I and every other djs doing mostly mobile gigs would prefer spotify over Tidal cause spotify has a lot more music, especially world music not just english, I also use a conversion tool to convert my spotify playlist to tidal.
still happy to use Tidal with Serato and other dj apps its a +++

I messaged Tidal on Facebook and they replied
Question:
I'm a working DJ, I use Tidal at every Gig, I also pay extra for the DJ expansion on Tidal, I've recently read your Terms and condition, Its states Tidal should only be for home use and not for comercial use? am I breaking the T&C conditions?
Tidal Reply
I think their reply is what I already know, Private Gigs is OK but if you do a Public event then the DJ/Promoter has to pay for the copyrighted songs.
also their answer is mainly for Stems as well

Thank you for your patience. We'd like to share that "personal, non-commercial use'” means using TIDAL’s DJ tools for private, uncompensated purposes, rather than for a paid performance or public audience.I think their reply is what I already know, Private Gigs is OK but if you do a Public event then the DJ/Promoter has to pay for the copyrighted songs.

Which is a good way for the them to cover their ass *wink*
I think if you read the terms and conditions of Apple Music in Djay Pro AI - it is the same. And you can't even use stems with that library.
