Are you using the latest version of Handbrake?
Did drop the video.sl preset here -->> /Users//Library/Application Support/HandBrake/ <<-- within the Handbrake folder?

Was Handbrake closed before copying the preset file to the Handbrake folder?

Cool, glad to hear you got it to work :)
Unfortunately, there's no easy way to convert a bunch of . Handbrake doesn't do batch analysis at the moment :(
You can set up the queue feature, but you'll need to add files to it one at a time.
Get comfortable, it's going to take a while to get through 2000 videos.

Ok guys,
I tried everything I could...
Even the instructions you posted in the forum (step by step).
And yes I'm running the latest version of Handbrake..
For some reason when I drop the 'Video-SL .zip folder" into the HB icon,
the application opens but the Video-SL doesn't appears in the presets,
neither a "Add Preset Window" or nothing...
I need to get this up and running soon..
Help and advices are highly appreciated.

If you open the .zip folder, what files do you find inside?
Step 1 reads: Save the un-zip the Video-SL.hb file to a location on your hard drive
but, It should read: 1. Save the Video-SL_handbrake_preset.zip file to your hard drive and then un-zip/extract the Video-SL.hb file to your desktop.
2. Drag the Video-SL.hb preset file onto the Handbrake icon to launch Handbrake
It sounds like you're trying to drag the .zip folder to the Handbrake icon instead of the Video-SL.hb file.
