I have a Numark Mixdeck Quad, Macbook Pro and I use iTunes. I have always used CD's therefore, I'm a total newbie to Serato so please bear with me.......
I would like to simply use Serato for cuing from one deck to another crossfading with pre-organized sets. My sets for example consistes of 7 songs (4 upbeat dance & 3 slow dance) which are pre-recorded with crossfading already between them. Of course, I fade over to the opposing deck whenever I want to play a single track if needed according to the floor. I believe Serato could place these sets into what is called crates seperately. I don't need to crossfade using BPM from one set/deck to another therefore, I want to keep it simple. I need to know what would be the simpilist Serato software for just cuing/crossfading and headphone use for cueing and mix monitoring. In addition, I would prefer to use an external hard drive off my Macbook Pro. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thank you, Ray
