ttm57 directly to power amps?

ttm57 directly to power amps?

Is it safe to run straight out of the xlr outputs on the '57 directly into two amps(crown ce1000) into 2 jbl tops & 2 subs? I would just use the passive crossover in the subs that sends the mids/highs to my tops.
(I usually run through some mixer/rack/processing gear first, but I don't want to bring all that if I can help it).
-I have not attempted this, but I want to try it at my gig tonight(watching my levels of course)

it should be fine as long as the subs are crossed over correctly.

yes, it worked ok.
it lacked a bit of clarity without any processing.
-but definately less stuff to lug around...

try a dbx driverack. I go straight from the 57 to the driverack it has crossover limiter eq. I wouldn't think of not using one in any amprack. I haven't blown a speaker in 8 years since i started putting driveracks in my ampracks. the limiter alone is worth it

good call, i've been looking at those, (dbx driverack pa)
-it pretty much equals what my entire rack does, all in a single space rackmount.
(plus they are around 300 bucks now)
