Overheating MacBook Pro

I'm using a 2018 MacBook Pro Mojave 10.14.3 2.2GHz i7 16GB
I was about 20 minuets in the program and my MacBook started overheating. I'm not running any other programs, programs, plugins, or vst. I do not have an audio interface nor hexternal hard drive connected.
I do have apple headphones (with cord) and an iRig Pads midi controller connected via TOTU usb c hub
Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm on a MacBook Pro (Mid 2012), and I'm not having those issues. I also haven't updated to Mojave yet as most of the software I have isn't not fully compatible yet. It may be due to this as to why you're having issues.

At the time I was running 10.4.3 I am now on 10.4.4 and still having the same issue.
I also have a MacBook Air 2015 10.13 High Sierra with no over heating issues at all.
