High CPU with Serato 2.1.1

Hey guys so I did a clean install of OS High Sierra and a clean install of Serato 2.1.1 as well. Apart from having to now use internal mode for my controller (Very weird, I never had to do this before with my NS6II) I seem to have high CPU usage. Serato uses about 75% of my CPU and my MacBook Pro tends to run hot into 85 - 90 degree temps. Also I should mention that I replaced my thermal paste to try and counter this issue with Arctic Silver 5. Is this a known issue with 2011 MacBook Pro's? and is anyone else having high CPU/Temp issues?

Specs:

2011 Macbook pro 15

2.2 ghz i7 Quad Core
16gb Ram
500gb SSD (Main) Samsung Evo
1tb HDD (Music)
OS- High Sierra

Some 2011 models had defects. I would get it tested at an Apple store just incase.

The 2010-2011 models had cpu issues also graphics card defaults within the logic board. Real pain in the ass. My old Mid 2010 was one of the affected models cause my specific model was recalled. Upgraded to a Mid 2014 been like sliced butter ever since. Good luck

In my case, analyzing more than 2000 songs, in the middle of the closed process, I am talking on my desktop with an i5 8400.16 gb ram, amd rx 570, luckily I have my macbook, but it must be frustrating to use this software in win10, I can not imagine the users that use it on this platform

Well mine was repaired under that program and I never had any heating issues since but since changing the thermal paste my cpu temps are ramping up to 85c degrees and I have to kick in the fan at high speed using smc fan app. How is the cpu usage in the MacBooks you all have? are you getting 75% and where does your temps fall between?

Maybe my year MacBook Pro is finally starting to show its age or just getting heated up with Serato's over bloated software.

I had a friend get his 2011 repaired as well however 6 months later his logic board had to be replaced again which was not covered under recall he had to pay $350 to get it fixed. I was told by a tech that the issue is the way the Macs were designed which causes it to overheat. It was a design flaw. I suggest sell your 2011 or upgrade to a 2012 or above model. Your laptop is very outdated and almost 10 yrs old. Save yourself the hassle and just get a new machine you can get incredible deals for used Macs.

I have a 13inch 2011 2.8ghz i7 8gb ram running Sierra clean install and Ive found that this laptop cant run serato dj pro, its very unstable song cuts out every 2 min, at the moment mid 2012 mac laptops are the minimum requirements in my opinion to run serato dj pro smooth, Im also running a back up 13inch mid 2012 i7 2.9ghz 8gb ram Mac, it runs serato dj pro 2.11 very smoothly,
even if your old laptop has a SSD drive it still wouldn't make a difference, its all to do with the processor and memory.
