the problem is ..
I have yestaray switched my mixer TTM57 SL and from him got smoke from the crossfader.I switched off and tuned ON again ...Everything was playing ok ,but crossfader didint worked (didnt cut the sound), then after some time i switched on the mixer again then the fader began get smoked and after switching ON again music played but fader did not worked....
before all this i have put Deoxit under the buttons B1 and B6 as was said on your web and put some Deox It on the rails ....but all was working..And only today there got smoke from mixer and i dont understand what happened..HELP PLEASE

ah...the magic smoke that makes electronics work has escaped or leaked out. if you ever see the magic smoke, your electronics device stops working. you need to either replace the part or have a technician re-inject the magic smoke for things to be back to normal.

its mistical that the crossfader has been broken !!!

I had this happen once on a fostex digital multitrack recorder. Somehow a dime had fallen down into the slit along one of the vertical faders. When the volume of that fader got turned up, I saw a puff smoke appear. The dime was shorting out the fader by acting as a conductor, bridging the electrical contacts along the rails. -maybe check if some metal debris made it's way into your fader?

wtf...skinnyguy tried to help you and entertained us at the same time. Contact Rane, get a repair code and send the unit in for service. New 57 faders need calibration when build into the mixer. BTW get some sense for irony....
