Problem when opening Serato

Dj Manu Balsa 6:46 PM - 28 August, 2018
I have recently bought a Windows 10 computer. The problem I have is that every time I open Serato the problem starts reading the TAGS from my entire library (Reading TAGS ...) and it does not let me use it until after about 10 minutes it's when he finishes reading the whole library, in MAC this has never happened to me.

Once you read the entire library, most of the songs do not show the duration. I have analyzed it again and I am still experiencing this problem.

Any solution?

You may have a corrupted database. You may want to try rebuilding the Serato database.

Hi there,
We greatly appreciate your patience on this.
We're now aware of a bug in SDJ, which seems to be caused by a combination of

Certain id3 tag values, on
Certain file types.

At the moment the best workaround is to rebuild your Database file, which should make SDJ usable until the next time you need to rebuild this.

Please let me know how you get on.

Kind Regards,

here is the link how to rebuild the database v2 file

support.serato.com

BUT AFTER YOU THIS COPY THIS FILE TO YOUR SERATO BACKUP FOLDER!
I COPY THIS FILE AND THE SUBCRATES FOLDER TO THE SERATO BACKUP FOLDER

THAN I MAKE A BACKUP FOR THE SERATO DJ OR SERATO DJ BACKUP FOLDER. I COPY THHE SERATO BACKUP FOLDER TO THE MY DOCUMENTS FOLDER;

THAN WHEN U STARTUP SERATO AND YOU SEE ITS START READING TAGS EXIT SERATO
GO TO SERATO DJ BACKUP FOLDER COPY THE DATABASE V2 FILE AND PASTE IT IN THE SERATO FOLDER OVERWRITING THE ONE IN THE SERATO FOLDER.

NORMALLY IF U START SERATO AGAIN IT WILL WORK AGAIN NORMAL.

SO NOW EVERYTHING I ADD NEW MUSIC I MANUALLY MAKE A BACKUP...FIRST A BACKUP FROM THE BACKUP FOLDER (TO ALWAYS HAVE A DATABASE FILE THAT WORKS°THAN A BACKUP SERATO TO THE BACKUP FOLDER...
ITS MORE WORK BUT ITS THE ONLY WAY FOR ME TO WORK NOW ...

AND DONT FORGET TO MAKE A CRATE THAT CONTAINS ALL YOUR MUSIC!

or you can rebuild your database v2 file everytime it happens but than u must not forget to make a crate that contains all your music.

it will read all your tags again, so it takes longer...
you dont need to analyze again, auto gain etc is storred with the audio file ive noticed other wise more time to load for 24000 songs 10 hours

and if your audio filles are most in m4a format i've noticed that the serato dj pro 32 version loads analyses files way faster than the 64 bit version (TRY FOR YOURSELF YOU WILL SEE)
(and has no dropouts when listening to long audio mixes when you scroll through them)
