Serato DJ Offline player does not output throught headphone jack

Hey all! I'm on a train and trying to set cue points/edit beat grids etc. I have my headphones plugged into my MacBook; all system sounds, iTunes etc, play through headphones, however Serato DJ (2.0.4) plays through laptop speakers.

Is there a setting I'm missing to have it output audio to headphones? Using a MacBook Pro on High Sierra.

if serato comes through your laptop speakers it should come through your headphones once you plug them in, check your sound mixer settings on your mac play around with the settings

I'm having the same issue. Sound settings inside System Preferences are where they should be too.

Anyone have anything else to add to this mystery?

I've started having this problem recently as well... all going ok... then sound cuts out... if I minimize Serato and play something on VLC or anything else... sound comes out fine (sound preferences also where they should be)... But nothing with Serato DJ in offline mode... if I restart Serato DJ it will work again for a while... then cut out...

I'm on a mid 2012 Macbook Pro 2.6GHz i7 with 16GB or RAM running Yosemite... never had a problem until recently? Maybe I should just use an older version of Serato DJ in offline mode for the cues etc? I'll check to see if that works... (It's annoying AF!!!)

I just sent a message to Serato Technical Support. I'll reply back if I get anything useful.

From Serato:

"The lack of audio out from the headphone port is an issue we're aware of with the new MacBook Pros, and are currently investigating.

What you'll need to do is disconnect the headphones, shut down Serato Dj Pro, reconnect the headphones and open Serato Dj Pro - audio should then come out of the headphones.

Essentially, the headphones need to be connected before opening Serato DJ & if they're disconnected they won't connect to the audio out of Serato until the software is closed.

We hope to resolve this soon and apologies for the inconvenience."

Weird... well I also don't have output on my internal speakers either - so, it's not just a headphone jack issue and I'm on a 2012 MacBook... so definitely not just an issue on new MacoBooks (Or newer OSes - I was using Yosemite - thought it might have been because I had refused to update my Os for years - updated to Sierra (glad I did - computer is actually running better hahaha) - but yeah - still have this problem).

I have found that I can still use a bluetooth speaker tho - but there's lag in playback so making adjustments on cue points in Serato DJ is not as precise/annoying... but that's my workaround for now.

Correction - it still messes up with bluetooth - looks like I just got lucky that time around and could actually go through about 20 or so tracks before it cut out...
