I propose something that I'd call "Essential View Mode" where Serato only displays essential information for your decks, which is not visible on the controller/setup. For example, if you are using a DDJ-SX2, you should be able to disable the waveform display, the platterposition or the effect panel (only show which effect is assigned to which button).
This would give you more screenspace for your library, while keeping the important information visible. Also, hiding the waveform would help on practicing for beginners as well as preventing "laptop eyes".
