Lol
Naa that was just for pics.......I never setup and play my speakers at home. The only thing that stays setup is my home turntable setup with a lil Bluetooth boom box.

My latest setups...I alternate them in/out of my storage and get in a few practice sets depending on what gear I will be using at my next gig.

Thanks Pdidy!
Google photos has served me well.....it has a plethora of options when and if you decide to share your pics such as, allowing others to comment on your photos and allowing others to upload their pics to that specific album if you so choose to do so.

Yes its my 1st Macbook pro 2008 Core2Duo 2gig ram. Its my stay at home mac for "Scratchlive only" or the laptop visiting guests get to use lol. I can't get more than $200 for it so I figured i'd keep it till the wheels fall off.

True, for professional use I would not debate that as its life span after 10yrs with all original parts can be described as....... "Any day now" lol

Hahaha that's pretty accurate. Im shocked that all the original guts are still working though. Impressive, also considering they were known to have a graphics card issue. Apple had like a 5 year recall on those.

But believe it or not I'm quite frugal now after many years of gear whoring, my main laptop is a 2011 macbook air and only cost me $400 used :)
I'm likely just lucky then, plus its had 2 major drops and water damage that should have killed it years ago......

I've been messing around with Rekordbox DJ while I scan my files and there's already a number of little details that Serato does that I wish it had.
I never realized how much I relied on the secondary column sort on serato as it's such an innocuous, small UI feature and relatively new yet trying to DJ without it according to the system I'm used to, is ridiculous.
The hardware is the truth tho. Just about everything about it feels nice in one way or another. Really hope they open it up to Serato, but I'm not holding my breath.

I've literally been changing up my home setup every week...
Always end up going back to the turntables tho... hoping to get a 72 and call it setup until those 3900s die, and then I'd think about getting the Twelves.

this has been my shitstation for the past few months. PDX-A2 & PDT-6000 (Concordes instead of M44s to work on my record hand lol), DJM-707 (shoutout dj_soo and skampy for the recommendation), SL2, MBP late 2011, HC1000 and VFX-1. kinda hooked into my music production rig on the other side of the room, hence the absence of speakers
coming from an NS7, I definitely need to get a decent laptop stand to situate the laptop and preferably the HC1000. also, how do y'all manage your cables?

The more I use rekordbox, the more I hate it.
Featurewise it does everything you'd need, but it lacks refinement, doesn't gel well with iTunes, and lacks the little things that make DJing with serato feel organic and fun.

Lots of new gear this past year. Bought out a small lighting company, added a second Yorkville LS801p, pair of Denon Delta 12's on the cheap, Powersoft K10, Pioneer 3 decks XDJ1000/900NXS2 setup, Pioneer Toraiz16, Dual Handheld/Lapel Sure wireless Mic, lots of higher quality audio & DMX cables, DI boxes, wireless DMX adaptors, AIAIAI headphones, custom rain covers for my DSR112s & JTR Noesis 3TX speakers, 2 laptop computers to control DMX & Pangolin for lasers. Getting ready to spring for a GrandMA full console and will probably pick up at least 2 more subs before end of year.

Have you considered using soundswitch? I think with a lighting setup like that, some of those automated systems would be great...

Thanks, it's getting there, just starting to get my head around lighting programming. On the fence if I'm going to pick up some more Orbit Shifters or switch over to TH118s or 218s

I'm picking up a full GrandMA console this week. I also use Chamsys MagicQ. While Soundswitch seems like it will be pretty cool, it's not the direction I'm moving in. I'm planning to have a light jock working a console or PC wing for my larger gigs. I can get more use out of programming those than individual songs for lightswitch. Depending on my gig, I'm either rolling with a 4T drive for open format or a flash drive with tracks that get added every week. I have a couple of friends that have it so I will check it out a bit more. Can never have enough tools to do the job right.

Just a few events. The 8 OS's were used for a rave party. That was pretty intense. And the setup with the stage was all used as a prop for a tv sow on Showtime.

Those were the Noesis 2AX tops. The room was about 50x75 feet. What we had was overkill but Jeff and I wanted to hear how that would sound.

Thought I'd add my setup too. I fly my speakers from a truss for the largest of events I do. A lot of work to setup and could definitely be improved but I'm always happy with the results.
