Audio Drop Outs - Bad ones. Serato DJ

Rymak 3:41 PM - 7 January, 2018
Hey Guys,
wondering if anyone can help me with this one..

Ive recently (Unfortunately) updated to a new os on mac and had to upgrade to Serato DJ.
Scratch live has never let me down in almost 8 years. always worked 100% with zero issues.

Since updating ive had a few teething problems which have been sorted out finally but its been a nightmare in the process.
Until the last 3 gigs ive played ive had no issues as such, but these recent gigs ive had the audio cut out completely and not return. The deck keeps spinning, mixer has no signal at all.. just stops out of nowhere. Completely random. This means i have to restart the whole computer to restart it properly. Which is embarrassing mid 7 hour set. And after restarting and loading library, connecting decks again theres a huge delay in audio. Close the program again, open again, reconnect decks then it works fine. same process each time. frustrating to say the least.

Can having 6 years of History crates be causing issues? i read another post on here and someone solved some crashing issues by deleting a few years of history.

or is there another fix or known way to fix this?
Im Running the latest SDJ, OSX 10.13.1, 8gb ram i5 mid 2010 macbook. Hard drives are nowhere near full.

I have an i7 mac that i was going to switch over to.. but surely i shouldnt have to go to that trouble to get this working again.

Need some sort of insight into any way this can be fixed as this is my main income, djing 3 nights a week for 7-10 hours each night. cant afford these stuff ups.

Yet you risked it all just to use the latest OS ? This is just darwin's theory of natural selection at work.

And what exactly was the source of the problem? Others would like to know so that it could help them in the future.
