Rane 62 FX BPM detect questions

DJ Marv the Maverick 4:22 PM - 12 November, 2017
Does anyone knows if Rane 62 can detect or try to detect bpm of an external source connected to the RCA/Phono input eg playing regular vinyl or using CDJ/Media player

I find that I have to tap in the bpm every time when using CDJs (playing via USB drives) not Serato. It doesn't even detect at all.

I have tried holding down the joystick, restarting the mixer, assigning FX to a channel before activating it with that button beside the Wet/Dry knob.

it doesn't - has to be tapped.

62 doesn't use an auto-detect like the pioneer 900s - it simply takes the BPM from your file tag and applies it to the effects processor.

Thanks. I thought there was something wrong with my unit.

Is it the same with other rane mixers? 57SLMK2, 64 etc
