Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

Silent Cue

I'd like to have a Silent cue feature as seen on the DDJ XP1

Basically mutes the running track until you hit a hotcue.

Really useful when doing drumpad routines.

So now that this feature is enabled on Serato DJ Pro with the DDJ-XP2 I wonder if it will be available on the software too or only when using the DDJ-XP2 hardware controller..... Please say yes! ;-)

if it's not available then there is probably a midi cmd line for it. Knowing serato though they won't give us that line for the xml files.

Guess we'll have to find out ourselves, like we did with shift button modifiers for 3rd party contollers

I reckon they will enable it in the software at some stage, if you find out how to midi map it before that please let us know! :)

Silent cue on the new Rane Seventy. I hope we get the ability to midi map to any hardware at some point.

Team Serato, please make the Silent Cue function officially MIDI mappable via the Serato DJ Pro software ASAP. I'm a Rane Seventy user, and while the Instant Doubles buttons near the faders can be assigned via the menu to function alternatively as Silent Cue or Sync, I would greatly prefer to remap Silent Cue to some other underutilized location (such as one of the user customizable pad slots or redundant Instant Doubles buttons on the Rane Twelves.) Silent Cue is a killer feature and it would greatly improve my workflow to have the option of reassigning it.

Please consider this for your next software update! I suspect this would cause many Serato users to rejoice.

Would like this too

I haven't read anything about the ability to MIDI map the silent cue feature being included in the latest update. If instant doubles is available for remapping, why not silent cue? Do I need to start a petition? Ain't too proud to beg! Please Serato make it happen.

Here's the secret handshake that someone created for the S9:

drive.google.com

<midi app=" 2.3.2.77">
<control channel="1" event_type="Note On" control="36">
<userio event="click">
<mute deck_set="Default" deck_id="0" slot_id="0">
<translation action_on="press" behaviour="toggle"/>
</mute>
</userio>
<userio event="output">
<mute deck_set="Default" deck_id="0" slot_id="0">
<translation action_on="any">
<alias name="on" value="127"/>
<alias name="off" value="0"/>
</translation>
</mute>
</userio>
</control>
<control channel="2" event_type="Note On" control="36">
<userio event="click">
<mute deck_set="Default" deck_id="1" slot_id="0">
<translation action_on="press" behaviour="toggle"/>
</mute>
</userio>
<userio event="output">
<mute deck_set="Default" deck_id="1" slot_id="0">
<translation action_on="any">
<alias name="on" value="127"/>
<alias name="off" value="0"/>
</translation>
</mute>
</userio>
</control>
</midi>

I am gonna have a go at this for the S11 on a user mode button.
