Already rockin Serato DJ. Should I try VDJ or Rekordbox DVS.
Even though VDJ I could use with my controller and DVS.
Any thoughts?

Why do you need to try something else? They all pretty much all do the same thing.

Serato is far from filling 100% of anyone's need. IMO their library mgt is horrible. I don't believe the they are all the same. J/S

Knowing as many as you can is an asset.
But if you are about to get into or already in the club scene, Rekordbox standalone (Pro DJ Link) is the best choice to learn in my opinion.
Aside from it being free...
You only need SD cards, USB Sticks or your phone to instantly jump into a set.
Second to this is to have an SDJ license if you really need to use your laptop on a PIONEER CDJ/DJM set up that is compatible with SDJ.

None of them are filling 100% of anyone's needs.

If you are a DVS user then stick with Serato but if you are using a controller or CDJ's, then you should try the RB.
I really like Serato when used with the TT but there is really no benefit using it with a controller as the RB makes it much easier to roam between the controller and CDJ environment. You will really like the fact that you got the same library on the computer and on the usb drive when using the cdj's and the overall library management is much better than on Serato (we asked them to add the tags etc. but they didn't gave a f*ck).
On the other hand, there is no ableton link in RB and their vinyl control is lacking.
At the end of the day, they will both do the same job and it depends which one fits better to your environment.

this may be an old issue issue that was fixed but a friend said serato had a issue with keylock for DVS when you scratch, is that still an issue

Yes but not for reg keylock it's pitch n time that sucks for scratching...turntable tricks are useless as audio will still be processing even after you stop the turntable and for slow scratches it's really bad. However reg keylock does not have these issues.

The majority of DVS users or turntablists I see use reg keylock. PNT is not designed for scratch purposes it's a time stretching tool.
