Ive recently bought Harman & Kardon Soundsticks for my Mac but I can get any output from them whilst using Serato.

What do I need to do differently in my setup to achieve sounds from them? They play fine if Im running iTunes and I've selected them on System Settings.

I have a sound card, would this help?

Try mixer>line in>line out>speaker thats how my desktop runs my equipment but may be different as mine desktops windows.

Yeah, are you trying to run the sound back into the computer and then out again? That won't work. Can you connect your speakers directly to your mixer? That is the ideal way of doing it.

They are USB speakers and only work by plugging them into USB port of the computer so I cant plug them into the DJM 600.

I initially thought it would just play fine plugging them in but no. I've plugged the cable from the output from the mixer to the input of the mac and computer recognizes there is music playing but yet still no sound.

Like I said, I have an M-Audio Firewire soundcard, could this be used to help?

You won't be able to get the sound back out of the original computer that is playing Scratch Live. Your best bet would be to run an extra line out of the mixer into a box that can split the signal to USB. Then you can connect your speakers to that breakout box.
