Can Serato Sample work with Mac OS X 10.9.5?

It should, it is a VST and if you are running a DAW already on your system the VST should work.

It did not work in garageBand for what it's worth..

.. but does work inside of MPC Essentials which is surprising.

Hi wodeyjay are you using the AU component or the VST? Try installing one or the other and see if the issue is consistent across both.
