Hi, I just got my NS7 and Itch today and it seems to keep freezing every so often either when i'm loading into the other decks or cueing up. I notice that the usb light starts flashing when it happens. This was happening in version 1.03 so I upgraded to 1.04 but it still occurs. How can I get it to run smoothly?
The laptop is a dell inspiration
Dual Core 2gHz
2gb Ram
Thanks,
Keith

Hi Keith
Have you tried 1.05 or the 1.1 beta.
The NS7 works with 1.04 or greater only.
If the USB light is flashing this means your computer is loosing connection with the unit.
This can be caused by a hardware conflict amongst your internal devices.
I would suggest consulting this guide to see if you have an issue :

sorry i meant to say i was using 1.04 and got 1.05
i upgraded to beta 1.1 and it has the same problem only i've noticed that even just letting it play without touching any of the controls it seems to freeze and for a few seconds and then go back to normal.. this happens every about 30 secs
i think it could be the actually laptop or ram..
i'll check that website now see if it's any help! cheers!

I tried what it said on the website but the configuration seems to be all right.
No luck it just seems to keep freezing up and fixing its self after a few seconds!
Any more ideas?!
Sorry I'm using Windows Vista, just after realising I click the wrong one!

I would strongly recommend checking for this as I feel it is the cause.

Earlier it the output started getting distorted every so often.. I dont know if this is due to it being a beta version or whatever it is.
I looked on that website and found the (PCI) the ns7 was on and disable the other usb slots that were on (PCI) 20 and this I think freed it up a bit because it doesnt freeze as often but I cant change the resource settings on it.
Itch seems to be fine except for the distortion that happens every so often and the freezing up it does.

Not trying to be funny or flame but the answer to this (if you're serious about the NS7 and digital DJ'ng) is to get a Mac.

Post a screen shot of your IRQ list please I can help you find out what you need to change.
Have you spoken to dell yet as ultimately they will need to advise you on where to change the IRQ channels.
