I love Serato. And I love Pitch'n'Time DJ.
BUT - press reverse on my turntables, and the pitch'n'time disengages, so the pitch is altered to whatever position the pitch is at a the turntable, then when I press back to normal direction,Pitch'n'Time starts in again, meaning ugly and heavy fluctuations in the pitch and speed. This means the reverse buttons on my turntables never get used.
I contacted Serato support :
"Pitch N Time will disengage when you reverse a track as the Pitch N Time Algorithm in Serato DJ cannot process audio in real-time that way - it's a limitation of the algorithm and the way it runs in Serato DJ. If you would like to see Pitch N Time remain engaged while tracks are playing in reverse, I suggest popping a feature request in our Feature Suggestions area on Serato.com"
So...here I am.
I love my reverse vinyl effects, but the reverse buttons are currently feeling alone and unloved. Let's help make them feel part of the team again!!! Anyone want to start a Mexican wave with a "hell yeah that'd be sweet"?!?!?
