Why does the search icon disappear once you're in a forum group?

Why does the search icon disappear once you're in a forum group?

Search icon (magnifying glass next to profile icon) is there when you're at serato.com

But enter into any of the actual groups and it disappears - is this the intended behaviour?

This is a bl***y nuisance, especially if you know which Forum you want to Search!!! C'mon Serato - give us the ability to Search WITHIN specific Forums...
