Two questions about the Denon SC5000 Prime

1. Will the SC5000's be deemed as "Controller" or "Official Serato Accessory"?

2. Will they have scrolling waveforms on the decks?

These details are very much what I want to know if I'm actually going to pick up a pair eventually.

The SC5000 will be an Official Serato Accessory (OSA), so will still require supported Serato DJ hardware connected.

Unfortunately not when used as an OSA with Serato DJ.

mcx 8000 has scrolling waveform so denon & serato know how to do this so why not on the sc5000 ?

The MCX-8000 is a native controller while the SC5000 is an OSA similar to the CDJ-2000, CDJ-2000Nexus, CDJ-2000NXS2, CDJ-900NEXUS, CDJ-200NXS2, XDJ-1000 which are all OSA's and none have scrolling waveforms when used with Serato.

Currently the SC5000 SDK does not allow scrolling waveforms with Serato. This may be updated in the future but I can't guarantee anything.

Any ETA on the update?

Also will the player be fully mapped as in the loop knob, performance pads etc etc? no scrolling waveforms is a bummer. How about the artwork logo? will serato make use of the center screen or will we be able to keep our logo shown.

Yes it will :)

When connected to Serato DJ, album artwork in your file will be displayed on the SC5000.

Has anyone successfully used an SC5000 with an SDJ Enabled mixer yet?

It has not been formally announced as a OSA support yet so not sure what is the progress to date.

Looks like the first public trial is at DJ Expo. There was a live video about it.
