I'm using the DDJ-SZ and the board is not letting me play,pause or use the jog wheel.
I have to press play from the laptop. PLEASE HELP

Whoa, that is pretty odd.

If you turn video plug in off, but play the video files does it still do the same thing? (trying to figure out if it's the files or the plug in).

When you toggle video on/off does the SZ behave any different (I am in offline mode since I am at work). You'd see both decks if the SZ is connected.

There is a ground bug, but it usually isn't video related.

Is it consistent, happening all the time?

You might have a bad power supply.
Crap shoot:
Touch the computer chassis and and the controller at the same time, see if it works.

I've had that on DDJ platters but never the buttons themselves?
