Hello All

Bedroom DJ havent played an event in 10+ years. Cant find records i want anymore so want to go the serato route. Question is what do i need? More hardware even tho I have a mixer? Do i need a laptop or can i extend a second screen from my desktop over to the turntables? What do i need exatly to start spinning tracks that i cant get on vinyl anymore?

I know i will need serato software.

Do i need a new mixer or does that little box convert my mixer into a mixer that will work with the software?

I know i need the digital records.

what else?

Thank you all very much, totally ignorant to all this.

Well, first things first....what is your current setup?
Pretty much any turntable and mixer will work with Serato once you get an interface (DS1, SL2/3/4)

Depending on your current equipment, the interface (and control records) will be all you'd need. Provided your desktop can support it.
Having a second monitor from your desktop will work fine, there is no split screen support but if you just set SDJ to open fully on the monitor with your mixer, you'll be fine.
