Dj turntable best with Serato DJ?

So maybe i did things backwards but i bought my Rane 62 mixer now looking for turntables, i am hoping for a wider discussion since i am still a little indecisive after coming back talking to another DJ.

it seems buying used Technics is recommend a lot, not a bad thing but finding a used one local is not exactly easy. I am a new DJ and i would like to think that the newer Super OEM turntables would be a better buy compared to a turntable from decade ago feature wise and same quality.

of the super OEM's i researched i've pinned it down to the Stanton ST-150 (s arm), Reloop 7k or Reloop 8k. I do see myself doing scratch battles (battle DJ?) but i figured down the road most of time will be doing gig's (if i get good enough, and some luck) so carrying them around isn't so much of a worry.

my end goal is to get to the point where I can use this as a way to generate some income hell i'm happy just to entertain a crowd, however at the same time i've always wanted to learn to scratch and compete ever since i was a kid watching DJ Qbert play

Technics. If impossible, go Reloop 7k.

good thing about techincs you can buy a 20 year old pair and they will work the same as brand new. Its astonishing really

I have my original technics I bought in '92 and they work like a brand new pair. I also have a set of used techs that were in fair to poor shape that Henray customs refurbished and work just as well. He replaced tonearms, RCA cables and internally grounded all my decks. I can't see myself going with any other brand since these have served me well for many years....

plus if your going to a club and your used to practicing on those high torq new models at home, you get to the club and you let go of the platter to start a song, its gonna be a slow start every damn time. aint nobody got time for that
