all depends on what kind of controller or dj hardware you are using

I'm using the same controller as when I purchased the license...I have just upgraded to a higher spec laptop on the same windows platform

then everything stays the same install serato on your new laptop transfer you music folder content from your old laptop to the new plus your music, basically however you had your old laptop setup thats what your new laptop should be setup directory music file location etc,
the transition should be smooth
