Jogwheels on CDJ vs DDJ-SZ/RZ?

Hermanator 1:45 PM - 5 October, 2016
How does the jog wheel differ in feel/weight on the more recent CDJ/XDJ compared to the DDJ-SZ/RZ controllers?

Locally I am only able to try the SZ. Coming from an SX2, NS7ii, and a tiny bit of vinyl... the jog wheels feel way too bulky and heavy for any sort of turntablism, regardless of the adjustment setting. I am not saying that they can't be used for that, but I personally do not like it. I do love it for pitch bending, simple short scratches, etc though.

The only difference between SZ and CDJ jog that I am aware of is the ribbed texture on top.

How does a CDJ jog feel in comparison?

Does it feel really light in comparison (not talking about the adjustable jog resistance)?

Thank you!

the only difference verses the cdj jog wheel and the SZ jog wheel is it being touch sensitive on the top. i found i had to adjust my latency to get a tighter response in addition to my resistance setting. ultimately i prefer the feel of the cdj jog wheel verses the SZ. to my knowledge the RZ is the same platter. the sx series jog wheels are damn near unusable for me. too small and i always find myself over or under correcting during long blends.
