Music Library and Music Scan

Why doesn't scan your hard drive for music like virtual dj and others. It would be easier that way. And why when you drag music into crates they don't split the albums up. They put them all together, which makes you have to go in and separate all your music. I just had to wipe everything and now I have to start all over with my crates and subcrates. Serato PLEASE fix that.

You have to physically do it all manually. Virtual Dj does it for you. But I don't like Virtual Dj on Mac.

yes i like the way vdj does it.it is allsetup up for you but with serato you need to do it all manually.. i hope they can fix this..i have a large collection and not even half ways there

So does everyone here :D And they have build their libraries in serato from scratch. So start doing it :)

you should use Itch sync it mimics your folders to crates 1 to 1

I dont want it adding my songs to the library before I'm ready. Sometimes I need to tag files or weed out the corrupt files. The last thing I want is automation currupting my database.

if you don't want songs in your main library you simply leave it out and add them when you need too, easy

I download stuff to a specific folder and that folder is a production folder I dont want to move it again.

the workflow regarding auto-import is fine. There are also some workarounds for those who want to auto-import everything and it involves a few shortcuts in the right directory.

Did this ever get fixed? I used Alchimie Zinc for years but isn't an option anymore
